Loyola University, Chicago is more commonly referred to as LUC or simply Loyola.

It is a private Jesuit research university in Chicago, Illinois, that was founded in 1870 by the Society of Jesus and named after Saint Ignatius of Loyola.

Undergraduate Calendar

Registration for the spring semester ends on the midnight of Sunday, January 16, and classes would begin on Monday or Tuesday if Monday, being Martin Luther King’s day, is declared a holiday. January 24 is the last day of late registration or changes in registration, and January 31 is the last day to drop classes or make any other critical adjustments to the course load.

However, summer registration would begin on February 14, and a spring break would be observed between March 7 and 12th.

Meanwhile,  there would be no classes on Good Friday and the Easter holiday. Fall registration would begin on April 4, while spring semester classes would end on April 29. Final Examinations would be held between May 2 and 7, Graduation events and ceremonies would be held between May 9 and 14, and the Fall semester would resume on August 29.

Graduate Calendar

Registration ends on January 16, and the spring semester will begin on January 18. Late and changes in registration would end on January 24, which is also the last day to withdraw without a “W” grade. The last day to withdraw from classes with a Bursar credit of 100% is January 31, while February 14 is the last day to withdraw with a Bursar credit rating of 50%.
April 1 is the last day to submit the final approved thesis and dissertations for degree conferral by May. On April 22, Ph.D. students who are graduating in August but wish to participate in May commencement must have their approved dissertation defense ballot on file in GSPS, and Masters students who wish to participate in commencement must have an approved thesis proposal on file in GSPS. Final examinations hold between May 2-7. The commencement Ceremony is on May 10.

Undergraduate Tuition

For all the undergraduate schools, the full-time tuition fee per semester is $24,050 for 12 to 21 credit hours.

Meanwhile over 21 hours, an additional credit hour rate of $375 is charged. The part-time tuition is paid at $880 per credit hour for less than 12 credit hours.
Mandatory Fees include student development fees and Technology fees.

Those registered for 12 or more hours pay $544, while those registered for 6 to 11 hours pay $175, and those registered for less than 5 hours pay $115 in total. Other undergraduate fees include graduation fees, orientation fees, and late registration fees.

Graduate School Tuition

The tuition per credit hour is $1080, except for MA in medicine which is $1950 per hour. English language learning program is $360 per hour. There are other course fees and Lab and supplies fees.
Student Development fee and Technology fee, which are mandatory fees, amount to $177 for those registered for 6 or more hours, while those registered for fewer hours pay other rates. The graduation and Matriculation fee is $100, and the late registration fee is $50.
